The short version

101 Chopsticks does not collect personal data. There are no user accounts, no logins and no profiles. Votes are anonymous and are not linked to any identifier we control.

What we store

When you vote on a card, we increment a counter in our database. That record contains no information about you. A flag is saved in your browser's local storage so the site can show which cards you've already voted on - that flag never leaves your device and we cannot read it.

Your cookie choice is also stored in local storage so the banner doesn't reappear on every page.

Advertising and cookies

This site does not display advertising, and no advertising or ad-measurement code runs on any page. No advertising cookies are set, and nothing here builds an advertising profile of you or tracks you across other websites.

The cookie banner records your choice so we can honour it immediately if we ever do introduce advertising. Until then there is nothing for it to switch on or off, and we'll update this policy before any ad code goes live.

Hosting and analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and the vote counts are stored with Supabase. Both process server logs, which may include your IP address, for security and reliability. We do not run any separate analytics product.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, email hello@101chopsticks.com and we'll look into it. If you're in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator - in the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
